A COVID compliant cycling event aimed at riders of all abilities who want to have fun, keep fit and raise much needed funds for NHS charities.
We want people of all abilities to get on their bikes on 4/5th July to raise money in recognition of the NHS 111 service which has supported so many of us during this pandemic.
As a challenge, you can ride 111kms on your own, share the distance with family or friends or choose a shorter distance.
Pay a small fee to enter and ask some of your friends and family to sponsor your efforts. Plot your own route in the area where you normally ride, preferably starting and finishing from your home. We must all comply with the social distancing rules in place at the time of the event
£10 to enter with a minimum of £5 per entry going directly to NHS Charities Together. Any excess after costs will also be donated to the charity or used to fund research into COVID-19.
Date: July 4th & 5th - this weekend!!
We now have event t-shirts for sale in men's and women's fit in 100% cotton. Get one to commemorate the event or just to show your support for the NHS. Please visit our shop to purchase.
We still have a few pairs of these super Cicerone guidebooks to give to entrants.
Cicerone are also offering a special purchase price of £2.50 for each of the books for all entrants and 25% discount against ANY Cicerone guidebook between now and 31 July.
We will send you the offer codes for these when you sign up.
There is no limit to the number of entrants. There are different categories allowing people to either take on a personal challenge or to ride as a team (virtually or as a family group) joining together to complete the 111 kilometres. For instance, 6 people could each ride 18.5 kilometres.
We hope to create the largest virtual charity ride ever, showing our admiration for the frontline NHS workers.
We are a 'not for profit' organisation, the £5 administration entry fee will cover costs of organising this event. Any excess will also go towards good causes.
The virtual mass cycling event to raise funds for the NHS.
The Event that allows riders to use their local routes and complete the ride as indivdually if we are still in lock down or with friends, family or local cycling club if rules allow.
Our aim is to provide a mass cycling event, within the restrictions that apply at the time.
As all major sportives have been cancelled until the Autumn this will give the British cycling community something to train for and to look forwards to.
